Bible Verses About God Being With Us

gospel of john

You’ve got bills to pay, and you can’t help but wonder how to do it or where the money will come from. You’re having relational troubles and wonder if things will ever be made right again.

We face all kinds of trouble and sometimes it just doesn’t feel like God is standing by our side. He is aware of us feeling this way toward him, check out some things God has said to his followers in the past and what he is still saying to you and I.

Here’s four strong reminders of the fact that the God who created the universe with his very hand is with you, even now.

1. John 14:16-17

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for the dwells with you and will be in you.”

After Jesus’ ascension to heaven he left us with his holy spirit, essentially he dwells within us when we have faith in him and believe in his resurrection.

If you are unsure of whether or not God is present within you, he isn’t. When the Spirit of God is present within you, you know it. Ask God and pray about this if you lack certainty.

2. Romans 8:38-39

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

There isn’t a thing in the universe that has the power to separate us from the Love of God, let that sink in.

3. Matthew 28:30

“Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This is Jesus speaking directly. He clearly says we will never be alone. I don’t know about you but being alone can feel very unpleasant.

4. Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

After the Israelites wander for 40 years, they’re on the brink of obtaining the new land God previously promised. Moses is giving a speech to inspire the people as well as to pass his responsibilities to his pupil, Joshua.

Take these verses with you and hang on to them when times are especially difficult. Day to day matters can bring petty inconveniences and growing pains, but things tend to get serious fast. Come back to verses like these and remember, God still loves you and is ever present in times of trouble.

God Bless.
